If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him, an investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.

I wish to have opportunity to introduce more about wonderful Canada, because it is a charming country with beautiful landscape and rich minerals. Different ethnic integration and cultural shocks make multivariant and local-colored features, such as Montreal with romantic French decendants. Today I will introduce Nunavut, one of mystical autonomous regions in northern Canada. It is a treasury of numerous historical heritages of Canada.

    Nunavut

Nunavut originally belonged to a part of northwest region, and it became an independent part on 1 April, 1999, and became a new autonomous region in Canada. It is governed and run by local Inuit. With a relatively high altitude, most of Nunavut is within arctic circle, thus subject mainly to arctic climate. Though winter is long here while summer is short, Nunavut has a rich pool of natural resources and mineral resources such as iron mines, copper mines and rare metals. Besides, due to geographical proximity to the Arctic Ocean, there are a profusion of marine animals, polar bears, reindeers and other wild animals. I hope my introduction might be helpful to your possible travel to this area.

The capital city is Iqaluit, which means abundance in fish in Inuit language. Iqaluit is the capital of Nunavut Autonomous Region, and is the city develops quickest and busiest. Iqaluit is the capital of Nunavut, and is also the littlest capital in Canada. Despite of that, it plays an important role of traffic. which tightens and improves the relationship between Iqaluit and other provinces. The Inuit account for 60% of the whole population, about 8000. Although the latitude of Iqaluit is high, it is beeyond the the Arctic Circle. But the weather here is still the polar climate.

In contrast to its long and cold winter, it has a cool but short summer. For Iqaluit, summer is very busy season, for many tourists choose to come here to enjoy the scenery of northern Canada at this time. Iqaluit is a isolate island, although next to Quebec, does not connect with Quebec, so if you want to Iqaluit to travel, the main traffic tools is plane and the ship after the summer and icy period. There are two aircraft flights, Air Canada and First Air. If you leave from Montreal, you can take First Air, if leave from Ottawa, you can choose Air Canada. The friends who have lived in Montreal for some time would have a rough idea about the price levels in Montreal. It’ll cost about 2800 CD for round trip air tickets to Iqaluit, and it seems pretty high. The price of hotel is about 200 dollars, and because of many factors, such as traffic and weather, the local price level is 3 times higher than Montreal.
