With the development of scientific technology, a flow of man-created wonders come into our life. Among them, the media industries are becoming more and more outstanding and also in great demand. To hunt for the reason, I think television and movies obviously have done a good job.
Nowadays television and movies are popular all over the world, and there’re no country, region or village differences. But how come both of them become such a heat? And how do they influence our behavior? That’s what I’m going to find out.
Above all, the changes in our daily life seem to be the most apparent. Firstly, television programs and movies reset our agenda. That’s because the time-table of both is decided, and if we want to enjoy them, we have to spare our time from other things, such as going to a party or meeting with friends. Secondly, the suitable TV program and movie can amuse the whole family. In that way, both of them can harmony the relationship between family members and provide a common topic for them to talk about. Thirdly, the interesting dialogue or words in the TV or movies may become a fashion in normal life; people will use them now and then. Gradually, they can become a custom and then part of culture.

In addition to those above, television and movies can both be educational. For children, books sometime seem to be boring and inactive. In some degrees, watching television and movies will contribute to children’s abilities of understanding and seeking for necessary information. Of course, good television programs and movies can teach them how to be kind, generous, likeable…and form their good characters.
Last but not the least; through television and movies, we can have a world-wide view to see the issues all around the earth. Under the banner of globalization, the television and movies are having more and more deeply influence on our thoughts. We have to seek for much more latest information to keep us with others.
However, anything can’t be done too over. It is harmful to stay in front of the TV for a long time, and it spoils our eyes and health unconsciously. What’s more, television and movies make people physically inactive. It is impossible to stand up and go for a walk when your favorite soap opera is coming up. You leave everything undone and rush to see what happens next and stay glued to the screen till it is over.
That’s how the television and movies influence our life and behavior. Every rose has its stings, so I think it’s better to tell the difference clearly between helpful and harmful, education and addiction.
