The Correct Methods to Make Provision Against H1n1 for Kids

I don’t use a pen. I write with a goose quill dipped in venom.

H1N1 was caused by Type A influenza viruses, and it is a contagious respiratory disease of pigs or human beings. Pigs are hit by regular outbreaks, but with low mortality, one to four percent generally. Humans rarely infected with the virus, but it also found some cases of human infection with swine influenza, most of them have had direct contact with diseased pigs. The symptoms of A/H1N1 flu are similar to ordinary flu but with different severity.

  • Such as a sharp increase in body temperature reaches about 38℃ above, keep coughing, headaches, arthralgia, rhinobyon, feel tired and have no appetite. Some people who have infected with the virus will appear runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea and other symptoms.
  • The H1N1 Flu is still spreading, babies from 0 to 6 years old are easier to suffer this disease for their inadequate immune function and weak resistance. Faced with the outbreak of H1N1, we should prevent as early as possible because H1N1 can be transmitted among people and people can be infected before the symptoms occur.
  • Heath experts remind that it is difficult to stop the influenza from spreading when it exposed. But common sense can help us protect ourselves. In the process of preventing H1N1, the baby’s cognitive ability, self-care ability and body resistance are relatively weak, especially need adult’s care.
  • Influenza virus spreads mainly through air and contact. Children should avoid making contact with patients who have symptoms of flu, for example, fever, cough and running nose and so on, and who have diseases of respiratory tract, like pneumonia. Parents should not take children to the crowed places without flowing air as far as possible. If you really need to take your babies to these places, you had better to help them wear gauze masks.
  • Avoild physical contact, including shaking hands, kissing and eating meals together. This could effectively prevent infection of H1N1 pathogenic. You should pay attention to your children’s personal hygiene, especially their hands, because most children are quite active which makes their hands most easily contact bacteria.
  • So children should often use disinfection and branch water to wash hands, especially before eating and falling asleep. And do not let them use hands to rub eyes and suck fingers. Baby should maintain adequate sleep, more exercise, pay attention to keeping indoor air, and train baby to develop good hygiene practices.
  • The baby without flu vaccination should be vaccinated as soon as possible, though the flu vaccine will not protect against H1N1 flu, but can improve the baby’s immunity against flu. Eat the cooked food, eat, eat less or do not eat raw and half raw aquatic product like shellfish and unclean foods.
  • Vegetables and fruits should be cleaned completely. If situation allows, you had better to disinfect or peel before eating which can reduce the chance of bacteria invading. Besides paying attention to the cleanness of daily food, you also notice the nutrition children take in for the reason that lacking nutrition will decrease children’s immunity.
